FREELANCE
William of Normandy first said this phrase
when promising every ‘free lance’ warrior
or weapons carrier
who joined his conquest of England with the reward of land or title.

DAMN IT
From Anglo-Saxon’s ‘Damut’ for Viking, derived from Danish ‘Danute'.  As Viking longboats approached the coast a cry of ‘Damut’ was heard from guards.

Why was the Middle Ages so dark?

Because there were too many knights!

Hail Warriors, Knights, and Ladies Faire !

Having been commanded on many a quest by King and realm alike, now seems an apt time to pursue one of my own.
As a vowed and chivalrous Knight of Black Draigs Order my favorite part of  any realm event,
 whether it's a
tournament,
war, or revel, has always been listening to the views of others who cross from the real world into the
reenactment, our plight if we suffer any, what other realms are into, what's  the funniest adventure they had lately in costume,
what's the
newest enhancement to armor or weapon, discussing any historical of days of yore, and especially hearing the soap
box of those who divine where our reenactment life is headed.
My site is dedicated to the Medieval meanderings of those who adhere to  the Chivalrious
Code of Honor, as well as
all the by-gone knowledge of any Medieval era, and all else that lies between the real world and the reenactment realm we
choose to live and play in every weekend.
Once closed to all but Black Draig's Order, tis now heartily opened to all who love this era as much as we who
extensively play in it.
Tis my hope you return often to partake of our offerings and knowledge.
               Join with us.

We also have a wicked sense of Medieval humor.
                                                                                              Thy Servant,
                                                                               Syr Edward Keefe ap Michaelss
